Meet Vanessa: A Harmonious New Beginning
Vanessa’s journey stands as a powerful testament to the human capacity for resilience and profound personal renewal. Her story began in the high-stakes world of law enforcement, where she served as a police officer. For years, her existence was defined by a state of perpetual high alert, relentlessly navigating the unyielding stress and pressure that characterized her daily life.
This constant expenditure of energy, a common fate for those in caring and protective professions, eventually led her to a state of complete depletion; she was running on empty until her own body and mind issued a non-negotiable demand for her to finally slow down and seek a new way of being.

In her search for healing and balance, Vanessa proactively turned to traditional avenues like therapy and counseling. While these provided a degree of relief and valuable insights, a lingering sense that a deeper, more elemental piece was still missing persisted within her.
The true turning point arrived not in a therapist’s office, but during what seemed like an ordinary visit to a local crystal shop. As an avid crystal collector, the environment was comforting and familiar, yet on this particular day, the experience was transformed by the soft, meditative tones of a sound bath recording that filled the air.
The complex, resonant frequencies stirred something deep within her soul, unlocking a state of tranquil peace and quietude she had not experienced in years. That singular, unexpected moment became the pivotal spark for a radical transformation.
Inspired and awakened, Vanessa dedicated herself to immersing in the study and practice of sound healing. Her journey of exploration culminated in her earning a formal certification, allowing her to step fully and confidently into her newfound purpose: holding space for others as a guide and practitioner of restorative sound baths.
Is Sound Bath and Sound Healing Same?
While the terms are often used interchangeably, sound healing represents the overarching, intentional therapeutic discipline that utilizes the application of specific sound frequencies and vibrational tones to promote holistic well-being and facilitate healing on physical, mental, and emotional levels.
A sound bath, by contrast, is a distinct and popular modality within this broader practice. It is characterized as an immersive, deeply meditative experience where participants are “bathed” in the resonant waves produced by instruments like crystal singing bowls, gongs, and tuning forks.
This experience is designed to be passive, guiding listeners into a state of profound relaxation and restorative meditation. Sound healing, however, encompasses a far wider spectrum of applications, which can include active, one-on-one therapeutic sessions.
In these targeted sessions, a practitioner might employ tools like tuning forks applied to the body, vocal toning, or specific frequency protocols to address an individual’s unique physical discomfort or emotional needs, making it a more customized and interactive form of sonic therapy.
Holding Healing Space: Vanessa’s Gentle Philosophy
Today, she offers private coaching and sound healing sessions that focus on empowering individuals, especially those working through people-pleasing tendencies and relationship patterns.
She also shares her gifts in community settings, like the weekly Sound Baths at Sky Yoga, making this deeply calming practice accessible to more people that want to try sound healing.
“I’m not here to fix anyone,” Vanessa shares. “Healing isn’t linear or one-size-fits-all. But if sound calls to you like it once did to me, I’ll be honored to hold that space.”
